Seed to Sauce: Why Growing Our Own Matters

At Seven Deers Farm, the peppers don’t come from a supplier. They come from rows we planted, watered, and harvested ourselves. And that makes all the difference. It’s about trust. We know what went into our soil. We know what didn’t. We know when each pepper was picked, how long it fermented, and how it aged.

This hands on approach gives us full control over every step. No guesswork. No unknowns. Just real food grown with purpose. It allows us to focus on the details. From which compost feeds the plants to how the sun hits the rows in late summer. That care translates directly into the flavor.

You can’t get that from a big factory. You can’t fake that level of intention. That’s why people keep coming back. Because they know we’re not just mixing bottles. We’re telling a story with every plant, every pick, every pour.

There’s pride in doing it this way. It’s slower. Harder. But better. That’s how Tennessee Red Man was born and that’s how we treat every sauce we make.
